Jerry Yan receives $480,000 per episode

A few days ago F4 went to Japan to shoot a pictorial. Tomorrow they will hold a press conference in Tokyo. The 4's worth is also reaching new heights. Jerry Yan earns HKD$120,000 (about NT$480,000) for one episode while the other members earn HKD$100,000 (about NT$400,000), the highest record for Taiwan idols.

Though there are currently conflicts between China and Japan, F4 still flew to Japan as originally planned to shoot a pictorial. It's estimated that at least 10 million copies will be published with profits surpassing 100 million. Following there are still Japanese commercials to be filmed. F4's money-making operation in Japan is starting. And because Jerry will be acting in "White Tower," Cai Yue Xun, the producer, expressed that put his all into coordinating with him. They'll discuss further when he returns from Japan.

To "en shi" (be kind to teacher?) Jerry was willing to act with a price reduction. According to what is known, for 1 episode he earns more than $400,000. Jerry to Get the highest fee in TW at NT$250,000 "friendship pay" from Great White Tower

According to Liberty in TW, Jerry will get the highest pay in TW of the TW produced dramas for accepting the role in White Tower, which is NT$250,000 per episode. He will break the record held by SHE, which was NT$150,000 per episode (1 person). On the other hand, another main actor, DA Li Ren, will have NT$100,000 per episode.

According to Liberty, Jerry got only about NT$10,000 per episode for filming MG1, and about NT$50,000 per episode for filming MG2. This is the first time he has accepted offer not from Angie Cai's production company and the pay is going to be N times of what he got before, which will be the highest pay so far among actors played in TW produced dramas.

According to Liberty, Jerry got a lot of offers from China, and his market price is at least US$10,000 (about NT$330,000) per episode. Even Director Chai initially assumed that at least NT$400,000 would be needed for Jerry's pay for each episode. This time Jerry accepted
the "friendship" pay because firstly he likes the script very much and secondly he worked with Director Chai in MG1 before, so the amount of pay is not the main concern.

White Tower will be scheduled to film for about six months and Jerry's agent, Xiao Zhih, indicates that the filming time is long and for sure it is going to impact Jerry's work schedule, as he needs to fulfill some endorsement contracts and he also gets offers for other dramas and movies. However, as long as the quality of White Tower is good, it is worth the loss.

Director Chai will arrange Saya to play a cancer patient in White Tower. When Saya heard about working with Director Chai and Jerry, she said, "No pay is ok, just giving me some lucky money is enough.

All along, the amount of pay is not Jerry's main concern and earning fast money is not his goal. All along, he is looking for a good director, an challenged cast, and a wonderful script. Jerry Yan helps move props? Are you serious? "White Tower's" femail lead Zhang Jun Ning praised Jerry for being a gentlemen. He would open doors for her, completely different from her previous impression of him being hard to handle.

"White Tower" has silently started filming for half a month with newbie Zhang Jun Nin as the female lead. She has been in the movies "Gui Si" and "Meng Huan Xia Wei Yi," she is now studying at Central Chan Jing Research Institute, and recently she has filmed commercials for Ya Fang, using her student life as the background. After completing her first year at the research institute Zhang Jun Ning said she doesn't want her teacher to know that she's acting so she tries her best not to skip classes. Jerry Yan and Leon Dai once had a single scene in the drama that took an entire 4-5 hours to shoot.

The drama that created lots of dicussions during fliming has finally ended it's fliming. Yesterday, The Hospital had it's complete fliming ceremony at Taipei Dong Qu, whole schedule was secret to avoid media. Newspaper reporters managed to get Zhang Diao Qiao, Xu An An. Both have admitted falling in love with Jerry Yan and would drop tears the moment they see him.

The Hospital's main male lead, Jerry Yan was absent because he was overseas promoting F4's concert. As the 2 female leads talked about him, their eyes started turning red. Zhang Diao Yu said, "The scene where i was going to separate from Jerry, i was actually afraid i might not be able to be engross in the role. When we looked at the script, the Director and me of course, both thought that the leading character Dr. Su Yi Hua is none other than Jerry, and Qui Cheng Ze is Dai Li Ren but we realized that taking them would be difficult. Jerry Yan was very busy, Dai Li Ren is also a director with many projects in line, script contents, time adjustents and so on. We spent nearly a year negotiating. But we remained persistent all along, and believed that these two should be the leads. We waited for a very long time they said OK and accepted, resolving such earlier pressures.

Talking about Jerry, aside from being young, he is the type which no other artist hasnt , producing multitude of special qualities. In fact, he has the right talent. When Director Cai asked him to act sentimentally and produce special subtle changes in emotions and expressions, he certainly acted it out exactly the way the director wanted him to project. In these scenes, he comes out on his own as an actor with the greatest efforts.

Before shooting this scene, I always thought that Jerry will leave me. In fact, in working together afterwards, I really didnt know what to feel. In the set, he always talked to everyone, made jokes, and has a very special side. As an actor, he handle his emotions well to show very rich projections, receiving and letting out every kind of emotions. His astonishing concentration led me the need to learn, and study eventhough I have many rivals in the drama, but according to the scenes, when I was on my own, he still wanted to support me, considering the presence of my rivals.

White Tower soundtrack to be released by H.I.M International Music

With Jerry Yan being one of the male leads in the drama, SONYBMG was once interested in releasing the soundtrack. Ao Jun Yi, producer of the drama explained that SONYBMG worked with Directer Cai for MARS soundtrack, however there are SONYBMG has too many upcoming projects. From what I understand, Dr. Su and Dr. Guan were fond of each other at medical school. After medical school, Dr. Su needed to serve the army before being a resident. When Dr. Guan went on being a resident, she met Fei Xiang's character. When compared with the pure feeling between Dr. Su and her, her relationship with Fei Xiang's character was more sexual. Dr. Guan fell for Fei Xiang's character and slept with him. However, Dr. Su didn't know and at the end Dr. Guan left him without saying goodbye. Then they met again at the hospital after 10 years. While they wanted to start all over again, for some reasons something came back to haunt them. Then Xu An An's character appeared. According to her dad, he had never seen her trying so hard to get one thing she wanted... At the same time, Dr. Su was lost and he had become the kind of doctor that he had never imagined he would be. He blamed it on Dr. Guan, but Dr. Guan said, "Don't you understand? This is the road you have to go and these are the consequences you have to get."
In the trailer, there was one scene that Dr. Guan said, "I have never got to say goodbye to you...Goodbye" that was when Dr. Su painfully said "Zhijian"(goodbye) to Dr. Guan.

There was another scene when Dr. Guan met with Dr. Su again after their second break-up,she introduced her husband to him, Dr. Su's facial expression fully showed his mixed feelings.

It seems like, a lot of background materials that were not included in the novel were added in the drama to make Dr. Su's character, and Dr.Su and Dr. Guan's relationship more complete.

I agree with some sisters that after the betrayal from Fei Xiang's role (he left Dr. Guan for power and married the daughter of the Executive Director of the hospital?), Dr. Guan might not have enough confidence in Dr. Su even Su said that he could give up everything and serve the people in the countryside with her, as she understood that it was not easy for men to give up power. On Dr. Su's side, after he knew about Dr. Guan's betrayal, that was a blow to him as well, as something as pure as his love with Dr. Guan's could be changed just like that (before that Dr. Su still didn't know why Dr. Guan left him 10 yrs. ago).


When compared with Dr. Guan's, Xu An An's character is very simple. That's why a lot of fans have fallen for Xu's character after watching the new trailer. haha...
