Marching down to chase their stars in the "All-idol scenic spots"Source: TVBS website www.tvbs.com.tw/NEWS/NEWS_LIST.asp?...920070419193302April 19,2007 translated by Jerry's Kingdom IMPORTANT NOTICE: FOR YOUR READING PLEASURE ONLY. PLEASE DO NOT FORWARD OR REPOST ELSEWHERE WITHOUT ASKING PERMISSION FROM JERRY'S KINGDOM. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.In their own intense taxi ride for a speedy tour of Taiwan, the Tourism Bureau acted on first batch of fans who arrived in Taiwan, those coming from Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore, and then armed with a map, from the hotel they took the taxi to the press conference, and still wanted to visit places including the TV networks, and also the idol drama filming locations. Sitting on the grounds, fans from the Philippines, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan and even Singapore, smashed money to fly across the seas to go to Taiwan to watch their idol, and fans were very motivated. Japanese fan clubs were still in their self-made ID numbers as they pulled out their maps and said that they wanted to go to the TV network, but the press conference location could not be announced. The idol drama filming sites were out of the main streets, but they also wanted to go to all these places, not just a few sites, in a taxi, instead of walking. A Japanese fan: " I can go everywhere in all other places, in the very many sites like Meteor Garden." Upon coming to Taiwan, they were just in time to catch up on Vanness' new album launching press conference, in their impromptu Taiwan travel schedule for the first batch of foreign fans, who all came to Taiwan for their idols. A Thai fan: "It's my first time to come to Taiwan." Reporter: "Do you think it's worth it to come for your idol?" Thai Fan: "Of course!" Japanese fan: "I can now see my idol and hear him sing his new song, I'm very happy." The first batch of happy Taiwan visitors arrived last Thursday. F4 really unleashed their charms, and came out with a travel stigma, as fans find ways on how to go to their idols, they must march on "pa pa zou" (JK: is this crawling?) in chasing their stars.

F4 embarrasses SMAP, ratings soared highSource: Liberty Times www.libertytimes.com.tw/2007/new/ap...oday-show13.htmEarly last month, when F4 went to Japan and Korea to promote tourism, they guested in the super idol group SMAP's show "SMAP X SMAP" with Takuya, Shingo and Tsuyoshi, and made a funny skit version of "Metero Garden" last Monday (april16). Ratings for that night rosed from 20.4% to 22.8%. In order to welcome F4, Takuya played a TV producer and sneaked himself as F5, and mocked Jerry's acting as DMS. Finally, Takuya acted as "School Master". Shingo wore a skirt and wig to act as Shan Cai. Before the actual recording for the show, Kimura asked about Jerry Yan. "Is he really handsome?" Japanese fans are super crazy on F4. According to a Taiwanese tourist in Japan, even very remote places in Japan has F4 products on display. _____________________________ 2. Apart from singing "Meteor Rain", "First Time" and 2 other songs, Jerry, Zaizai, Ken and Vanness will zero in their distance and play with everyone. In addition, F4 will personally made tea drinks for lucky fans to taste or either present various kinds of Taiwanese delicacies. The Fan Meeting will be hosted by Tao Jing Ying. When F4 went to Tokyo for the Tourism Bureau endorsement promo, it so happened that Jerry had huge pressures so he wasn't smiling then. That time, Tao Zi and F4 just met and she was immediately accused of having frequent contact with F4. Now, she had to fry up a response to warm up the mood, so that the Japanese and Korean guests who came from afar will have a worthwhile trip. The present activity also has the most number of participants in a Fan Meeting. Just to keep traffic, 80 policemen will be dispatched before 2 pm, which will last for 1 1/2 hours. Even if Taiwanese fans cannot attend, they can enjoy themselves outside the venue, where F4 related goods will be on sale, starting at 10 am. According to Tourism Bureau statistics, Japanese fans outnumber Korean fans 5 to 1, proving that F4 is really sexier in Japan. Last April 16th, Fuji TV's SMAP X SMAP had F4 as guests and fought hand on hand with Kimura and the rest of SMAP. Ratings also soared a new high, previously averaging 20.4% to a high 22.8% record, and the Japanese sent a word of thanks to F4.

Zaizai frees the Ladies CR, as the pop craze goes outsideSource: TW Apple Daily apple.1-apple.com.tw/index.cfm?Fuse...;Art_ID=3416256April 23, 2007 summary by jerryskingdom.tkIMPORTANT NOTICE: FOR YOUR READING ONLY. PLEASE DO NOT TRANSFER OR REPOST ELSEWHERE WITHOUT ASKING PERMISSION FROM JERRY'S KINGDOM. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.After the "Wish to See You in Taiwan" international Fan Meeting ended yesterday afternoon at the National Taiwan University Gym, each F4 held their individual Fan Meeting. Zaizai was eating dinner at the Grand Formosa Hotel, when his staff and a a photographer argued, and in order to avoid the outraging crowd, he sneaked in at the nearby Ladies CR to hide. However, he was already advised beforehand that the room was empty. Fired when cleaning the gun Last night, when Zaizai and some 300 fans had their dinner fest, media was not allowed to enter the venue, and also used a shelf to block the reporters snooping in. But because Zaizai wanted to come out already from the toilet, reporters still got the chance to take his picture. The pushing crowd also created the argument between his Japanese staff and a "UDN" reporter. Vanness and Ken's event ws each held at the Taiwan International Conference Center. Originally limited to 400 people, finally ballooned to as much as 800 fans. Vaness showed his new album MV and footages in Japan and finally do a "high five" to each of his fans before he left. Ken shared his own photos and career plans to his fans. Zaizai went inside a Ladies CR last night to avoid the outraging crowd Both sides exploded in argument Zaizai's manager Wang Yi Xuan later explained that fans saw Zaizai approching the toilet that time so reporters started to crowd in. The Japanese staff asked the Japanese fans and reporters to stop following him. However, the UDN reporter then angrily shouted at Japanese staff to look on the Japanese TV channel, questioned his favoring and it led to both sides arguing. apple.1-apple.com.tw/060328/twapple...02/EN02_001.jpg[/img]At Zaizai's Fan Meeting, a Japanese staff used his hands to stop reporters from taking pictures

angie Chai is is such a big liar !!! Angie Chai: F4's new name is now "JVKV"Source: United Daily News (Lian He Bao) udn.com/NEWS/ENTERTAINMENT/ENT1/3822934.shtmlApril 28, 2008 summary by jerryskingdom.tkIMPORTANT NOTICE: FOR YOUR READING ONLY. PLEASE DO NOT REPOST OR FORWARD TO ANY WEBSITE WITHOUT ASKING PERMISSION FROM JERRY'S KINGDOM. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION. Angie Chai is the producer the Tourism Bureau idol drama "Fruit Tears", and is estimated to begin shooting in July. With regards to image packaging, AC said yesterday: "Everyone might not be aware that now it's important to change their name into JVKV (taken from the first letters of their English names), but these wordings won't have to change the so-called F4. Also, on the issue on who will substitute for whom, from the start, it's already known that Jerry and Vanness had previous commitments taken, and could not entirely join in the project. It's only Zaizai and Ken who would definitely be in the casting. The changing of the all-famous F4 name might not be easy. AC explained that F4 is their role name during their Meteor Garden series. At that time, the Japanese Publisher who owned the copyrights authorized it's use. However, nowadays, the Japanese had come up with their own Meteor Garden. If this will continue, in the future it's possible that both countries will have two F4s. That is why the Japanese Publisher conveyed their wish that if another "wave" has nothing to do with the Meteor drama, they asked not to use the name F4 again. So in the Tourism Bureau's International Fan Meeting held a few days ago, the name was already changed to JVKV. AC also said that actually, the Tourism Bureau looked for JVKV to serve as spokespersons, film an idol drama, as the 4 can undoubtedly act best However, Yan and Wu had already filled commitments by the second half of this year. She frankly said that with the drama's drawing power, its impossible to have 4 male leads for the parts. During that time, the drama "wave" role of Dao ming Shi was the heaviest, therefore, they never made the "Fruit" drama to demand 4 male leads, because there are presently two female leads, hoping to come up with two plots. Excluding Zaizai and Ken, she really once asked Mike He but finally, because of his commitments, they had to give him up.

F4? Now JVKV!2007-04-29 13:50:42 CRIENGLISH.com Taiwan boy band F4 (right to left): Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Chu and Vanness Wu. The group have renamed themselves JVKV. [File Photo: pp258.com] Fans of Taiwan boy band F4 pay attention: your idols have abandoned their name. They now want you to scream "JVKV" instead. The group's new name is combination of the first letters from each member's English name. Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Chu and Vanness Wu became extremely sought-after throughout Asia in 2001, following the release of the TV series "Meteor Garden," in which the four young heartthrobs play a group called the "Flower Four." Angie Chai, the drama's producer, explains that the use of the name F4 was permitted by the Japanese publisher of "Hana Yori Dango," or "Boys over Flowers," the comic book the drama was based on. However, Japan has adapted their own version and now the publisher hopes the name of F4 will no longer be used in unofficial "Hana"-related contexts. She has acknowledged that changing the band's name is not going to be easy, as "F4" has become deeply rooted in fans' hearts. After "Meteor Garden," the four boys have been seeking to develop careers in both acting and music - together as well as separately. In 2001, they signed a record deal as F4 with Sony, and since then, have released two albums. Each member has also produced solo works already. Source: english.cri.cn/3086/2007/04/29/1261@221779.htm

Angie Chai: F4 name will be changed to JVKV because of copyright issues.Beijing Sina.com April 28, 2007 Angie Chai producer of famous Taiwan Drama “Fruit Tears” which is expected to start filming this July; with regards to changing their name Angie said: “I don’t know if the 4 of them would want to change their name to JVKV which is their English initials. If this is the case then it will be the new F4, from the beginning Jerry Yan and Vanness Wu have other plans so I can’t really say; I only have Vic Zhou and Ken Zhu’s definite answer. F4’s name is very popular all over; it’s not easy to change this name. F4 is Meteor Garden, it’s the name of a group in the drama. At first the Japanese producer authorized the use of this name, but since Japan has their own Meteor Garden it would be possible that other places would have their own F4, so that is why the producer of the story expressed that if supposing there will be other groups who will use the name F4 and they might become famous too, that is why in the meet and greet we just simply used the name JVKV. Angie Chai also explained that this 4 are already solo performers so its maybe for the best. She also knows that for the second half of the year Yan and Wu will have other work arrangements. This drama won’t have the four of them acting in it. The drama "Fruit Tears" was never intended for all four of them. Rather, we intended to have two female leads and create two romances. Other than Vic and Ken, she did contacted He Jun Xiang to see if he interested in joining the film. Although we had a pleasant meeting, we can't work out with a time slot and have to give up at last. "Chinese Wave" ignites again, Joe Cheng and Fahrenheit attacks JapanSource: United Daily News udn.com/NEWS/ENTERTAINMENT/ENT1/3823722.shtmlApril 29, 2007 5 years ago, the TV adaptation of the Japanese manga "Meteor Garden" began the "Chinese Wave" and started the counter-offense in Japan. Until now, BS Cable TV in Japan has a fixed time slot period showing the TV serials of each of the members of the JVKV every week, along with "A Rosy love," "It Started with a Kiss" and "Hana Kimi." On the eve of its Japanese debut, Joe Cheng and Ariel Lin, Ella and Fahrenheit, etc.,all went to Japan to promote, to start a new chapter of the "Chinese Wave." Chinese Wave in Japan actually got a hot momentum for a time. After JVKV, no any other idol thought of continuing. Producer Angie Chai also said yesterday that penetrating the Japanese market is indeed really hard. With "Meteor Garden," it was immediately brought in at a local cable channel in 2002. However, it was not until last year when they succeeded in landing in a nationwide Cable TV channel. "Chinese" dramas from Taiwan are only shown in Japanese cable channels until now. In addition, after JVKV put the "Chinese" dramas into fame, it started the way for their separate TV projects to be shown, but the Chinese Wave should not only depend on the 4 men's support, because it is a survival of the fittest in Taiwan. and the entire showbiz force is on a battle again, hoping by means of the birth of Chinese Wave, Taiwanese idols can be reborn into real stars.

Career early hardships>F4 went out to buy clothes in 5 minutes, while SHE brought makeup for their common useSource: United Daily News udn.com/NEWS/ENTERTAINMENT/ENT1/3823845.shtmlApril 29, 2007 summary by jerryskingdom.tkIMPORTANT NOTICE: FOR YOUR READING ONLY. PLEASE DO NOT FORWARD OR TRANSFER ELSEWHERE WITHOUT ASKING PERMISSION FROM JERRY'S KINGDOM. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION. Among idol groups, F4 (now known as JVKV) is famous all over Asia , while SHE quietly rests as the female group with the hottest-selling albums. The 7 idols are not divided into male-female, as the first thing they each brought was a house after they earned money. F4 Jerry, Vic, Vanness and Ken all came from single-parent families. "Meteor Garden" allowed the 4 to zoom in fame, But looking at them, they were not the rich scions in real life. At that time, aside from the company sponsorship on clothes, they even went out for a 5-minute $2,000 budget shopping, in contrast to the present where the 4 wear not only GUCCI but PRADA, and can be the most practical "sparrow turned into a phoenix." example. Then, the 4 knew how to save money, as they took a ride with the drama group's service car to get to the location set early. However, sometimes when they shoot scenes lasting until afternoons and nights, they each thought extravagantly of having hired assistants even when they were still not popular, to take charge of their things, tea, water and personal errands, and rushing up to take the public transport from traffic notices. Luckily, F4's first serial was a huge hit, and their income suddenly increased. With no contract, yet the first thing they bought with their earnings was to buy a house, to improve their family living. Of course the present situation is far better compared from their past. Zaizai was driving a $5million worth AUDI sports car when he got caught in a traffic accident fresh from his breakup with his girlfriend. Among the most financial-brainy is Vanness because he forces himself to save all the money from his earnings every month, personally discusses company projects by himself as well as design his own clothes and accessories, and also open a sideline business. (skipped the last two paragraphs about SHE. )

PLEASE DO NOT FORWARD OR REPOST ELSEWHERE WITHOUT ASKING PERMISSION FROM JERRY'S KINGDOM. THANK YOU FOR COMPLYING. ...Zaizai's manager Wang Yi Xuan stressed , "No such thing!" He said that after asking Zaizai, he just blandly said "I had not left" Wang Yi Xuan said that Zaizai is recently busy with the recording of his new solo album, and it's impossible for him to go to Fu Tian Miao state, "Sina bbs members can come up with news, I also can go on-line and say that I had met Tony Leung while on my trip." Fu Tian Miao staff and crew also said that they had never seen Zaizai there. However, if Zaizai really left for Fu Tian Miao, he would have had his girlfriend Da S with him. Yesterday Mama Xu said," I followed Xiao S in China and was also taking take of little girl so I really dont know if Zaizai had left. But it's impossible, right?" F4 recently changed it's name to JVKV. In the line up of the two "V", it also caused dispute among Zaizai fans. The official arrangement is according to age, with the first V for Vanness, and the last V for Zaizai (Vic). However, Zaizai fans felt that it should have been according to popularity and the V for Vic should be ahead of the V for Vanness.

F4 Yan Cheng Xu (Jerry, left) Zhu Xiao Tian (Ken), Zhou Yu Min (Vic)a nd Wu Jian Hao (Vanness) changed their name to "JVKV" but the 4 men doesn't like using it A few days ago, F4 changed their name to "JVKV" however, the new name is only for the Tourism Bureau spokesman events. After the 4 men heard of their new name, they laughed and felt it was very awkward-sounding, and in the future, they still want to present themselves in " Hello everyone, we are F4!" JVKV was taken from the first letters of their English names, Yan Cheng Xu for "Jerry", Wu Jian Hao for "Vanness", Zhu Xiao Tian for "Ken" and Zhou Yu Min Zaizai for "Vic," and also arranged according to their age. At their International Fans Meeting in Taiwan last April 22, they also used this new name, as well as in the related goods sold in the venue. However, there were rumors that Zaizai fans were resenting, and believed that Zaizai and not Vanness should be the first of the 2 "Vs" Zaizai's manager Wang Yi Xuan said that the name JVKV will only be used when they would be appearing together, but usually, majority of their events are still individual projects. 04/30 Famous Taiwan boy band F4 has to abandon their name Famous Taiwan boy band F4 has to abandon their name. They are now called JVKV instead. Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Chu and Vanness Wu became famous during one night in 2001, thanks to the release of a TV series named Meteor Garden. And the name of their group F4 just came from the roles they played in that series. However, the name F4 was permitted by the Japanese publisher of Hana Yori Dango or Boys over Flowers, and now Japan has required that the name no longer be used. Angie Chai, the dramas producer, said they had no choice but to change the group's name. JVKV coming from the first letter of the four boys English name, is going to take place of F4 in all the occasions in the future. After Meteor Garden, the four boys have been seeking to develop careers in both acting and music - together as well as setely. In 2001, they signed a record deal as F4 with Sony, and since then, have released two albums. Each mr has also produced solo works already. DO NOT TRANSFER OR REPOST ELSEWHERE WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM JERRY'S KINGDOM. THANK YOU FOR COMPLYING. The powerful skills of F4 in selling Taiwan is really unlimited, that even things related to them can already cause an uproar in Japan! Axia (JK: must be the Apple Daily paparazzi) heard at the Osaka Travel Expo inauguration yesterday that the Taiwanese are really business-oriented, relying on the F4 endorsement to grab the strategic booth location near the entrance. However, local visitors were not as interested to watch the Erhu (JK: Chinese 2-string musical instrument) performance, or be acquainted with fruit games and traditional dance performances, but visitors were actually coming for the F4 billboard at the stage, and eventually sending out some 5,000 travel leaflets in l2 hours. Although the honorary F4 was each busy with individual activities that they weren't able to come, large billboards of the lady masters decorate the booth, where women fell off at each other in their eagerness to take pictures, happy and almost stunned yet excited as they chased the tourism staff and asked," When is the next meeting?" Axia then suddenly heard that reportedly, that the joint activity will be launched in Taiwan in September, to buff up the off-season tourist influx. On rumors that local fans will not be allowed to enter, Axia suggests that fans should quickly contact their Japanese and Korean friends and relatives to schedule their visit to Taiwan during that period, so that they would have the chance to get the tickets, because looking for other people is not equal to looking for yourself.

Traveling Taiwan with F4taken from the report of Jue Huo Zhou this article written by Li Shao Ming and Zhou Li Yun United Daily News (page B09) thanks to a1958 of www.nbbbs.com for the transcribing summary by Jerry's Kingdom IMPORTANT NOTICE: FOR YOUR READING ONLY. PLEASE DO NOT FORWARD OR REPOST ELSEWHERE WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM JERRY'S KINGDOM. THANK YOU FOR COMPLYING.Where are the beauties of Taiwan? F4 recommends with their true feelingsAsked for F4's recommendations on touring Taiwan scenic spots, each of the 4 members recommended a whole new different place, because in their minds, apart from being just naturally beautiful, in these scenic spots, their memories of growing up that led to their happy remembrances with these places adds more to its beauty. Jerry Yan
Truly-felt recommendation:
Fresh Waters "In front of my girlfriend, it's just like the beginning of the fresh waters" Jerry didn't tell who his ex-girlfriend was but everyone thought- was it Lin Zhi Ling? He didn't give a direct reply. At the F4 Taiwan tourism endorsement press conference, Tao Jing Ying asked Jerry if he was "very close" to his girlfriend in front of the fresh waters. Jerry shook his head and then held hands with Zaizai. Zaizai then leaned his shoulder to Jerry, exposing a shy appearance, and also pretended he wanted to get closer to Jerry. The smart Zaizai helped Jerry escape embarrassment. Ken Zhu
Truly-felt recommendation:
Ken Ding"It's in Kending where I first learned how to swim, and also where I took my test to get my diving license. That is why for me, Kending is a special place and also has Taiwan's most southern climate, where everyday there is warmth, sunshine, fresh air and sea water. It can make people feel very comfortable already. Even though it's cold in the northern part, and during rains, one can still go sunbathing under the sun in that place." Zai Zai
Truly-felt recommendations:
Yi Lan" I think Yi Lan's high mountains and flowing rivers are worthy to visit, because that place has many great people." Zaizai is just like the Yi Lan residents, and especially recommended the National Center for the Traditional Arts, where many of Taiwan's traditional artistic songs. drama, cultural artifacts and military armaments are kept. It really has Taiwan's local important sceneries. Visitors are gradually increasing and besides sight-seeing, they eat and buy souvenirs. Vanness Wu
Truly-felt recommendations:
Takoro National Park"Several years ago when I just returned to Taiwan from the US, life was not smooth-sailing at all. Then with several friends, we went to Takoro George Park, Huaien City and played. The sceneries, relieved all my pressures. Until now, whenever I see Takoro's landscape pictures or TV clips, I'm still very much moved by it." ***************** Delicious extras Jerry Yan most recommended the National Palace Museum's "San Xi Restaurant" tea. He said, "Taiwan's tea is especially delicious and tasty. The National Palace Museum Grand Hall has the 4-storey "San Xi Restaurant" tea house, a combination of food and drinks and artifacts, books and many more elements. Traveling Taiwan with F4 : Meteor Scenes Part 1 Chasing the Meteor: Review of the Classic Garden Scenes
Source: Life Weekly Section United Daily News (page B06) transcribed by a1958 summary by Jerry's Kingdom
F4 is the spokespersons for Taiwan tourism/.
