Hello,
Want to share some memorable moments during Jerry's visit to Jakarta.
- Among female fans who waited for jerry's arrival, there were also some men. I heard one guy talking to his friend that jerry's flight will be arrive at 13.50.
- At the beginning, fans who waited for Jerry's arrival were only from our group, then more and more people came. I just amazed with the number of people who came to airport to meet Jerry, considering that it¡¦s weekday and office hours. As far as I saw, the number of people who came was more than when Jerry came to Jakarta in July. . wow, that¡¦s because Jerry's charm.
- Jerry's smiling widely all the way, although start from he came out until he got into the car, many many people tried to get close to him. At one point, jerry¡¦s group (jerry, his two assistants and security team), supposed to turn left to the exit door, but since so many people around, they went straight a few meters before turned to the correct direction.
- saw a lot of slippers scattered around.. I read this is an usual scene at the airport everytime Jerry arrives..ha.ha.
-He only rest for a while before preparing for the press conference at 6.00 pm.
- the press conference began with traditional dance by children, After that a clip of his visit to Mongol then children in West Papua and Singkawang (West Kalimantan) shown. Then, Q-A session for media.
- After media, then audience's Q-A session. As you read the article posted, one fan came forward during the asking question session. I translated her experience which posted in Bahasa Indonesia (thanks to teh iphy): Since the beginning of the even, I planned to ask a question, but I don't know what question to ask. I discussed with a friend who was sitting beside me. As soon as the host said it's the audience part to ask a question, I straight away raised my hand.
-After the host asked me to step to the microphone, I nervously got up from my chair and tried hardly to recall what question I want to ask because suddenly my mind was blank.. I didn't remember anything (later, I remember that I was suppose to say, we will always support you).
-I was so nervous that the host teased me to take a deep breath.. then I had a strength to say, " jerry, wo shi zhen de zhen de hen ai ni ".. then I asked the question. To close my question, I said, xie xie Jerry, I love you. Ooh, I never dream that I would I ever have this chance to express my feeling to him. Thank God, I didn't faint.
- Next session, 10 lucky people to achieve child's sponsored profile from Jerry. Among them, there was a Japanese fan.
- One of the indo lucky fan there was a lady who's very shy.. she was very shy that she didn't dare to see Jerry's face when they shook hands.. Jerry tapped on her back.. it's like he encouraged her not to shy .
- After Jerry received souvenirs from WV Indonesia director, a certificate and a traditional shawl from north Sumatra, our family gave him a certificate of child sponsors, birthday present and birthday cake.
- Before Jerry went out from the press conf. room he waved to us.. oh.. so sweet. - Yes, the organizer locked us for a while.. but most of us just enjoyed ourselves by sharing feelings about this event and jerry. Honestly, I didn't know that we¡¦ve been locked until for quite some time.
- After press conference, he still had three interview with one tv and two printed media. Ooh, he must be very tired. - we also sent him off to the airport. When we and Jerry's group walked along the corridor to the gate, a man was carrying a child. Jerry patted the child's cheek without her father¡¦s knowledge. We all laughed and said, "so sweet!" - after jerry entered gate 1, before he passed the x ray he lifted his both hands, smiled and waved to us.. oooooh, very very nice.
- bye bye Jerry, thank you for your visit and God bless you. Take care.

Jerry visited Thailand as an ambassador of a Child Sponserhip
Source : siamzone.com Translated by Penny&Jerryleelee @ welovejerry.com
Jerry Yan or Yan Cheng Xu, the famous Asian artist F4, has just visited Thailand to attend the function "For The Children With Jerry Yan" held at Bangkok Convention Centre, Central Sofitel Plaza on 23 December 2006
The objective of the function is originally in conjuction with a Child Sponsership Programme set up by Worldvision in 10 countries, which are Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. The programme precisely presents public the children's suffering and difficulties. Jerry as an ambassador of the programme also recently has sponsored 5 children in Mongolia.
According to the interview, Jerry revealed that "I have been travelling to many countries and discovered that many children are in dire poverty. I think I am very lucky to be right here. If I have a chance, I will help them no matter where there is hardship. I will continuously help them. I felt the warmth while we were holding hands. I realize that they really need our love and warmth from everyone."
Furthermore, Jerry replied why he was selected to be the ambassador of the Worldvision,"When I was young, financial status of my family was not very good but, at that time, we received help from many people. When I grow up and am capable of giving rather than receiving, I will do exactly the same as it makes me happy as well" There is also a quotation which he frequently mentioned "If you love Jerry, please bring the love for children and everyone, then the world will full with love"
As the event was held during Christmas, Jerry and lucky fans were on the stage to decorate a Christmas tree, along with the children who were singing Christmas songs then Jerry gave them presents. 5 children, sponsored by the Worldvision, were from Petchaburi while 25 were from Huay Kwang. After giving those children the presents, Jerry also did "Wai" ! (Thai gesture - to raise the hands and pressed together as a sign of respect).
Finally, it was time for a suprise Jerry as his birthday will be on January 1 . "Tin Choakkamolkij", his friend, brought him birthday cake. Participants also sang him a birthday song. Then, the children gave him presents.
During the last period of this impressive event, Jerry and the participants made a promise in Thai. Jerry said first then the fans followed, "Because of love that bond us together, we promise that we will take care poor children to ensure the better and bright future they will have"
Lastly, Jerry and all participants drank water to represent the promise that they will take care children in Worldvision program to ensure that all the children will grow up and have bright future. The function ended with warmth and everybody was happy because of the charitable donation.

Report on Jerry's activities ( Thailand~23 Dec 06)
At Hotel in the morning
Around 10.00 am., Jerry came out from the hotel and walked through the lobby to the front door. There were 30-40 lucky fans waiting there. He wore a light yellow T-shirt, black cap and black jacket. Jerry smiled all the way to the van. He also did a Thai greeting gesture to the fans at the window after he got into the van.
There were also another group of fans waiting at the hotel next to the event hall, seeing him when he got off the van.
The Event
The event started with a group of children singing 2 songs. Then, The hosts (one man, one lady) came out and invited Director of World Vision Thailand to give an opening speech. (The Director also said that Jerry came to promote WV here free of charge, so did all the hosts and the translator. Everyone in the hall applauded)
After the speech, Mongolia Trip VTR was then shown. After the VTR, Memory Pieces was played. Jerry came out.
Jerry wore a light green short-sleeved T-shirt with small 3 red stripes on both sides of the front shoulders, khaki-green pants and a black knit hat (without crossing guns heh heh). He smiled so sweetly with sparkling eyes. So cute!!!
Then, the hosts and Jerry had a talk about his task as the ambassador of World Vision Asia and his feeling about the trip to Mongolia. (No new material.))m+o
1. When the host asked Jerry: "where did he go before coming to Thailand?" Jerry thought for so long. So, a cute Thai fan shouted Jakarta to help him out
2. When the host asked how many times he has been to Thailand. Jerry thought for a while and said reluctantly that three times. Then a fans in the front row raised her hand and show 4 for Jerry. Jerry laughed and changed to 4 times
Then, there was a lucky draw for 6 fans to get on the stage to read the questions sent from media for Jerry. (All the questions are about this charity and his work. So there was no new material.
There was a question that are a little bit hard to translate. Anyway, it is something about the role of World Vision and some idea about this charity. It is a little bit confusing. Jerry seems not know how to answer. Again, our Big Sister helped him out by shouting "Ba Ai Chuan Chu Qu" (let the love spread out to others). So, Jerry got along and talked about this.
Christmas Tree Decoration:
Then, the host led to another program i.e. christmas tree decoration. Another 6 lucky fans were chosen to get on the stage to decorate the tree with Jerry. Jerry is so tall. He helped the fans to hang the small decoration toys on the top of the tree. Very "man"!!!!!
Then, a group of children came out to sing Christmas songs (in Thai version). The smallest girl stood next to Jerry. Jerry looked at her so sweetly that that girl was shy. He also helped the girl to hold the song lyric folder. At one moment, he even teased that girl by pointing his finger on the song lyric while she was singing.
He tried to sing along and looked at the song lyric folder of the smallest girl as if he could read it. So sweet and so cute!!!!!!
Jerry gave the gifts to the children:
.comThen that singing group of children came out again receive the gifts from Jerry. (But the gifts are from sponsors of WV Thailand, not Jerry ha ha ha). The boys received a box of gift but the girls received a huge rabbit doll.
Super cute!!!! As the children are so small compared to him, he knelt down when giving the gifts to the children. Each child gave him a Thai greeting gesture when receiving the gift. Jerry also gave a Thai greeting gesture for each of them. Especially, when he held the huge rabbit dolls and gave to the small girls. He, again, teased that smallest girl by looking at her and giving a Thai greeting gesture to her even she walked pass by him already.
Happy Birthday to Jerry
Then, the host invited the surprise guest to bring a birthday cake and sing happy birthday song for Jerry. He was Tin, the host of F4 2004 concert and in Oral-B event last year. (He can speak Chinese as his mom is Taiwanese.) Jerry smiled when seeing an old friend. All the fans also sang Happy Birthday song along with him.
Before blowing the candles on the birthday cake, Jerry picked a cherry on the cake and put it into his mouth!!!!!!!
Tin asked all the fans to scream at the top of our lungs to show our support to Jerry. Jerry looked so happy. Tin also stepped out to the very front of the stage and acted smelling. He said he can smell the very sweet atmosphere here. Jerry followed him to act smelling and said it was very sweet. So cute
The host asked about his wish. He said that next time he came here he wish that he will see all of us again. So sweet!!!!
The fans downstage also prepared huge H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y charts, rainbow pop-ups and sprays to celebrate for him
Then Jerry also received another cake from fans from downstage.
Birthday gifts for Jerry
A group of hill tribe children came up stage to give Jerry special Birthday gifts!!! There were 5 pieces of gifts. All are Hill tribe costume!!!!!.
Jerry opened each of the gift boxes. The first one is a hill tribe jacket. He wore it immediately. The second is the hill tribe hat. As he already wore a hat so he skipped this one. The third one is the scarf, he hung it roughly on his neck and rush toopen another box. The fourth is a hill tribe bag. He hung it over his shoulder at once and arrange the scarf. The last one is a hanging letter keeper (not a costume). At first Jerry looked not sure whether what it is. (It seems that he thought where he should put on his body ha ha ha ha).
He is the most handsome guy in the hill tribe costume I've ever seen. (I and my friend also shouted to tell him "Hen shuai" (So handsome) ha ha ha. Maybe this is no need. He should know ha ha ha ha).
Then, a lady, who is an executive of World Vision, bring another gift for Jerry for this birthday gift. It is that huge rabbit doll!!!! Jerry has to hold it (and he is still in the hill tribe costume). Very cute!!!!!
Pledge of World Vision:
The host asked the staff to bring their water mugs (full of water) for them and Jerry. They pretended to do something like giving a pledge together in the ancient chinese series. The hosts drank the water only a little. But Jerry drank the whole mug!!!!!!. Then, he read a pledge of World Vision sentence by sentence fowlloing the translator "IN THAI". So cute!!!!! His accent is quite good!
Then the event finished with the Director giving a flower bouquet to Jerry.
Very impressive event!!!!!!!
At the Airport:
Actually, the initial plan was VVIP i.e. a car to send him directly to the plane. The staff came to tell the fans waiting at the airport that Jerry would go to the plane by car, we could not see him. One of our sister tried to ask for a compromise i.e. let the van pass the front of the airport door to let the fans standing on the footpath saying good-bye and giving him a wave. We promised that there would not be any chaos, any chasing on the road. It was successful. Finally, Jerry's van passed the front of the airport door very slowly. He opened the window, smiled and gave a Thai gesture to the fans standing on the footpath giving him a good-bye wave. It is a very touching scene and makes this trip a perfect trip for Thai fans and him.

Exclusive "Behind the Scene" on Jerry's WV Trip to Thailand
Please Credit to JBC-Thailand Love Jerry Family Translated by Bam (Wen Wen)
21 Dec 2006
- On the way from the airport to the hotel- Jerry said "Thank you" so many times to WV executives who arranged for everything and coming to pick up him at the airport. Jerry told them that on the plane from Indonesia to Thailand, he and his manager were quite concerned about the safety and security because he almost got injured at his eyes when he had arrived at Jakarta Airport. He also thanked WV Thailand to arrange this special pick-up.
..A WV executive asked him whether he felt sorry for not being able to meet fans at the airport. Jerry was quiet for a while and said that "I think they must feel sad."
- When the van passed shops along the roads, he looked at them very curiously and would really like to go down for shopping. A WV Executive had to stop him. She said that she felt pity on him. He looked like a little kid who would like to go around but cannot. But, Jerry asked about one thing, "A fake Rolex". He said he would like to see.
- All the way to the hotel, Jerry sang some Chinese songs lightly (but still loud enough for others to know that he was singing
At the hotel
- When Jerry arrived at the hotel, he was very very hungry because he did not eat anything on the plane. He ordered "Tom Yam Kung" (Shrimp hot & sour soup), his Thai favorite dish, before anything else, and followed by other dishes. However, he would really like to have one thing but the hotel did not have. That is mango with sticky rice. He waited for it until 7.30 pm. Then, he asked about it again "How about mango with sticky rice?".
- So the WV executive called and asked us to help. That was 8.00 pm. It was no way to find it within that night for our cute kid. We have a conference call that night about the place to buy the delicious mango with stick rice
22 Dec 2006
- We went to buy mangoes with sticky rice in the morning and put them into a cutely decorated basket and brought it to the office of World Vision Thailand before noon
- When Jerry met the translator in the morning, he asked her "Where is mango with sticky rice?". The WV Executive told him that his fans will arrange for him before noon. ha ha ha ha
- He received all the foods given from fans and tried all of them. He also distributed to WV and other staff except mango with sticky rice, which he and his SJ staff had them all. ha ha ha ha
23 Dec. 2006
- When he arrived at the hotel next to the event hall in the morning. He looked tried and went sleeping again. He had a sore throat and slept very late last night (almost at dawn).
- Before the event, he saw a lot of huge rabbit dolls on the stage. He asked the translator what they were for. The translator told him that they were the gifts for children.
- As you know, he also received one of the huge rabbit dolls as his birthday gift. He was very glad. His huge rabbit doll wore SJ T-shirt and jeans with our King's 60th anniversary symbol badge on the T-shirt. Anyway, after he received that doll on the stage, the doll was kept and sent downstage. When the event ended, he went down from the stage. He asked immediately "Where is my doll?"
- Thai fans downstage also prepared huge letter charts i.e. H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y to show him and also rainbow pop-ups and sparays. (You may see it in one of the entertainment news)
- For the pledge of WV that he read in Thai, he has rehearsed it for 2 weeks. (That's why, his accent was so good.)
- After the event, he went sleeping again.
- For the gifts the fans gave to him by placing on the gift counter arranged by WV in front of the event hall, after the event, Jerry sat on the floor to open each and every piece of them and brought all of them back to Taiwan (except flowers which he said he liked but cannot bring back).
- As the van does not have the curtain, he asked for it. The staff tried to find the detachable vacuum plastic sheets but cannot find one. Then they used a piece of paper or something like sticker instead. When Jerry saw it, he said " Hen Bang" (Great).
- Anyway, after he knew and agreed to the arrangement at the airport that his van will be driven slowly pass the fans on the footpath to give him a good-bye wave. The WV Executive told him that he should let the fans to see his face too. He cooperated very well. He and the WV Executive on the van torn off those temporay paper curtains by themselves.

The meaning of the yellow T-shirt He wore during Thailand event. (The logo said I love the King.)Yellow is the color of Monday, which is the day our King was born. This year is a special year of Thai people. It is the 60th anniversary of our king's accession to the throne and also the start of his 80th. (Next year is his 80th birthday). The king is the center of all Thai people's hearts. Thai people show our love and respect to the King by wearing yellow T-shirt in June this year and every Monday now. Jerry is a very nice and delicate guy to also wear this yellow T-shirt. credit to JBC Thailand Love Jerry Family The wristband also means like the T-shirt:posted by mjerry at Jerry's harbor:

Source : Kompas daily Date : Dec. 24, 2006Translation by myvi & indogurl On previous Tuesday (20/12), actor Jerry Yan (30) chose to have an Indonesian cuisine rather than the Japanese one. During the meeting session with the guest and relate his experience during the Mongolian trip, he had asked for the menu to be changed. “I also liked the spicy one. Just now, I’ve tried soto and Bali rice cuisine”, said the famous MG actor. This Taiwan actor came to Indonesia as a World Vision ambassador. During his trip to Mongolian, he met a very poor children, one of the child was where the father been jailed for stealing livestock and the mother had to make a living with only Indonesian Rupiah (rp) 150,000 permonth. Jerry was so touch knowing how this eight years old boy had to survive by working as a herdman to take care of another ppl goats/sheep’s. Thus, Jerry straightly willing to sponsor these poor children. For Jerry, donation is really a much better act in giving. Jerry appeal to all The fans and ppl to sponsor these poor children in their own country. “ I came from a deprived family background, I know how this help will mean a lot” he said. (EDN)
